If you don’t go with me…

Scenic path photo for If you do not go with me

This week has been exciting for me! I have witnessed the prayers that I have been praying being answered for our families and for myself actually. I have been in a postion that I have nothing really, monetarily speaking. It has been hard to get used to, but Papa God has been teaching me that HE is the one that wants to supply ALL my needs and he sure has been. I have been learning to wait for HIM.

I have a plan for our wedding, got some ideas and it is outside, but I asked the Lord for air conditioning and a beautiful place to have it. One day He had me praying in a certain area and as I drove I allowed Holy Spirit to lead me and I continued to pray for whatever area I was in. I was lead past where I am living, I thought, OK, well, lets see where it leads. I kept going about another 2 miles and I saw it, THE most BEAUTIFUL wedding venue, PERFECT for us and everything I didn't even think to ask for. I asked for it, I sent a note to them and I am waiting for God's timing to call them.

Here is the catch, it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get this venue – I don't have the money for it. BUT GOD!!! I have been learning, especially in the last several months, to ask for the impossible. Is there anything too hard for God? NO!! Jesus told a father who came to get healing for his child, If you believe? There is nothing to hard for Him who believes. I believe! But, even in this, even though I know that HE is the one who brought me to that place, I won't go ask again until it is God's timing and He tells me to go. He has to go with me, HE goes before me, and even though we are down to the wire, I believe that I will have this beautiful place. I am just blown over.

I love the story in Exodus 32-33, It is when Moses went up to talk to God, he took a long time, according to the people, and they got discouraged and distracted. They decided that they needed to go back to the ways that they had learned in Egypt to solve their discontentment. They had Aaron build a golden calf and they began behaving very badly, worshiping that calf and saying that IT was what brought them out of Egypt.

God saw what they were doing, and he said to Moses "Go down! Hurry! Your people, whom YOU brought up from the land of Egypt, have become corrupt!" ( Ex 32:7 CJB version) in verse 7 God told Moses to leave Him alone so that His "wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them." I can't even imagine having the creator all the galaxies angry with me. But, angry He was and wanted to destroy them because they so quickly turned away from Him even after all the miracles that He had done for them.

Moses pleaded for them, He reminded God that HE was the one who brought them from Egypt (hahah, I love that, just like parents when their kids do something naughty, they say, "YOUR child…" haha) and if God were to destroy them than the Egyptians would be able to say, HA, see, their god just freed them to destroy them. He reminded God about Abraham, Isaac and Israel, and that He had sworn to multiply the seed like the stars. The Lord relented and turned away His wrath.

You should take a look at it for yourself, but it goes on, in chapter 33 about Moses and God were talking like friends ( I LOVE THAT) and Moses lays it all out and says Lord, if you don't go with us we will not go. "For how then will it be known that your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us?"

I have lived my life doing the easy thing, the things that the Lord has gifted me with, I did them without thinking or seeking His direction first. But the deep wells is where He wants me to go, and where it gets hard because it requires a deeper relationship with my Father. Down where I don't just act on instinct, but I turn to Him to see if He is with me in whatever I am going to do. If we don't allow the Lord to "build our house" we are building in vain and I don't want to waste any more time building my, well, my anything, without Him.

I hope that something I share helps you today and I pray that you will have the courage to let go of things, open up your palms and push that thing up to God. Let go of "it", tell Him how you feel and watch Him change things. It takes time sometimes, we have to learn endurance, it hurts A LOT because we are going against what your flesh wants and choosing to follow the truth. When we do this we get to learn to let it happen because it is making us look more like Him. Keep going, keep looking at HIM only, keep looking at the truth of the word and not the facts in front of you. I would NEVER have thought that I would finally see the Lord as my Papa God, that I would have this close of a relationship. but it takes stripping us – and, then, you get to go with HIM to where He is taking you.
